Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026. Template — review with a qualified attorney before relying on it.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using CRE Books (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

CRE Books is bookkeeping software for organizing financial records. It is provided as a tool and is not accounting, tax, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of your data and for any decisions you make using it. Consult a licensed CPA or advisor for professional guidance.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login, for all activity under your account, for the lawfulness of the data you upload, and for keeping your own independent backups of important records.

4. No warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

5. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CRE BOOKS AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR FINANCIAL LOSS — INCLUDING LOSSES ARISING FROM ERRORS, DATA LOSS, UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, THEFT, OR FRAUD — ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the prior three months.

6. Payment

Paid plans bill in advance and renew automatically until canceled. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel anytime via the billing portal.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
